Workshop "UV applications in medicine"

The association "Advanced UV for Life e.V." organised an online workshop on the topic of "UV applications in medicine" on 15.03.2023. Experts from the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin as well as from the companies Heraeus Noblelight, UV Medico and German Medical Engineering presented the latest findings and developments on the topic, with a special focus on "far UVC", i.e. radiation in the wavelength range 210-230 nm. According to current knowledge, this enables effective inactivation of pathogens of all kinds without significant damage to human skin. After the five presentations, some participants took the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the need for further research.
