iWILD

International Workshop on Advanced InAlGaN Laser Diodes (iWILD), including Deep-UV Emitters

Tim Wernicke, Michael Kneissl, TU Berlin

iWILD 2025 will bring together top international experts to discuss the most recent developments, challenges, and breakthroughs in the field of InAlGaN-based laser diodes. We will cover a wide range of topics such as (deep) UV laser diodes, surface emitting laser diodes (PCSELs, VCSELs), novel concepts (photonic integration, frequency conversion by SHG,…), and laser diodes based on tunnel junctions or DPDs (including stacked LDs). Representing the latest developments in optoelectronic technology, InAlGaN laser diodes offer unparalleled potential for use in various fields, including high-speed optical communication, advanced sensing, and precise industrial processing and quantum applications. The workshop format features a limited number of high-level presentations in a single session, aiming for in-depth talks combined with round table discussions. The workshop aims to facilitate networking with colleagues in the field, stimulate innovations, and establish a cooperative environment for exchanging creative concepts and research findings.
