Peer Groups
Shaping Together in Advanced UV for Life
UV-RoHS
Exclusive for Members
Originally, indefinite exemptions applied to UV lamps for the use of mercury and other substances in discharge lamps under EU law (including RoHS). With the introduction of RoHS II, some exemptions have been limited in time.
To support members in addressing the challenges and opportunities related to the mercury-free and RoHS-compliant future of UV lamps, we have formed a peer group. Participation is open to our members, including manufacturers, integrators, and users of UV sources across all technologies.
Hospital Infection Prevention
with Photons (HIPP)
Exclusive for Members
To better harness the potential of UV photons for preventing nosocomial infections, we have established a peer group. The aim is to pool experiences, translate scientific findings into practical use, and jointly address technical and regulatory issues. Participation is open to all members – especially manufacturers, clinical users, research institutions, and suppliers.

UV Epitaxy & Semicon (UVES)
For Members and Interested Parties
UV-based semiconductor technologies form the basis for many current and future applications. In this peer group, researchers, developers, and manufacturers of epitaxial structures, wafers, and chips network with each other. The focus is on advances in III-nitride materials and photonic components. The open group is aimed at members and interested parties who work in the fields of material development, semiconductor manufacturing, or system integration in the UV spectrum.

UV Product Safety, Measurement, and Regulations
Exclusive for Members
Safety and legal requirements are crucial for the marketability of UV products. This peer group supports members in interpreting and implementing applicable regulations, product safety requirements, and approval procedures. All members who develop, manufacture, or use UV products in safety-relevant environments are invited.

UV Standardization
Supporting an IUVA Initiative
Common standards create trust and facilitate the spread of UV technologies. This peer group serves as a platform for exchanging information on current and planned standardization projects at national and international levels. The aim is to contribute expertise from the network to relevant committees and to inform members early about developments. The group is open to all interested members.
